2017 started with me in the last few months of my degree.
Trying not to get too distracted by the ‘snap’ election, or Trump tweets and Brexit brawls.
Eventually, I got there:
I also acquired another diagnosis – osteoporosis.
I had problems with a wound in my leg, at the start of September, which is still an issue now. At one stage, the infection took over my system, and I was straight into hospital under the Sepsis pathway.
It wouldn’t have been such a worry, but I was now booked on to start my MA in Creative Writing, and my stay in hospital was while I was studying, but that’s life. It didn’t affect my mark for my first TMA.
So, that has been my year. One of highs and lows.
